Make Up Store Sale

Ok so this Friday, Wednesday October 14th Make Up Store is having ANOTHER 40% off sale. So for those who missed out on ordering last time, here's your chance!

The store that does US shipping is in Colorado. The phone number is (303) 708-0086. The website where you can view all of the gorgeous colors, even HOLOGRAPHIC nail polish, is here. The normal cost of these are $14, but with the sale, they are $8! The aqua-fix i've heard is dreamy for the holo nail polish, so if you order any of those make sure to include the aqua-fix.

The cost for shipping is a flat rate of $11, plus the cost of what you choose to purchase. I know the flat rate may seem a little steep, but if you get a few people together to go in on an order it works out great!!

Make Up Store Greta is a beauty!
One of my nail polish friends over at To Polish Or Not also did a comparison post between Nfu Oh 61 and Make Up Store Greta here. And from her results, I prefer Greta.

You can place an order on hold now and then call back Friday to pay.

Milani 3D Hi-Tech

Ok so I was a little skeptical about this brand at first and had spotted these before but never really picked them up to try. I bought the silver, green, and purple 3D's. Today I am going to show you the green, called Hi-Tech.

These are very similar to the China Glaze Kaleidoscope collection in terms of the holo. The Milani 3D's are more of a scattered holograph. The Kaleidoscopes are hard to find these days and more expensive, so for $5.00 I could not pass these up!

What do you think? Will you be purchasing some of these? I didn't think I would like the green to be honest, but now I am so in love with it!

OPI Lincoln Park After Dark & Orly Fowl Play

This combination is just pure bliss. It's gorgeous! It was my first time trying OPI Lincoln Park After Dark and that was a gorgeous jelly/creme and it applied like butter. I topped it with Orly Fowl Play and BAM, magic happened!

Warning: my nails decided to be difficult and break on me :( which is why some are weird looking, and this is after 2 days of wear.

love the flakies and blue glitter!

this picture depicts the true colors where the reddish purple is shown

So I was wondering where OPI came up with the name for this color and I wasn't really sure, so I googled Lincoln Park at night and this is what I came up with. I am not sure how this color represents it but this picture is neat and I love the color, so who cares right?!

Zombie Mani

Ok so continuing on with the Halloween nail art for the month of October I chose a Zombie mani!! When I think of Zombies I think of blood and pale green skin, but I just had to add some sparkle to make it a little more girly than gross!

Don't they look gross!!! This look was really simple and easy to do. This mani was a complement to my other hand shown below.

Halloween Graveyard

It's Halloween mani time! I love this time of year, especially Halloween! I haven't done much nail art but I plan on doing some for Halloween.

Here is my very first Halloween mani of the season!

with ghoulish glow on top

My cat had to get in on the action!
The colors I used were all China Glaze. The base is China Glaze Recycle and then I sponged on China Glaze Pelican Gray.

For the tombstone nails I used a dotting tool to write the RIP. On the bottoms I first sponged ChG Near Dark then lined the tips with ChG It's Alive.

The other nails I sponged ChG Haunting to give it a starry night sky look. The moon is ChG Pelican Gray, Ghoulish Glow, and Recycle mixed together.

I then sponged Ghoulish Glow and Recycle over the moon across the top to give it a hazed look.

I was almost finished until my cat came over and gave me a dirty look for not including a cat into this mani. That is what is on my pinky.

All of the nails are sponged with extra Ghoulish Glow as well. I hope you enjoyed, there will be many more to come :) Pin It

Mommy's Mani's

So I realized that I haven't done a Mommy's Mani in a while. It has been hectic with moving, school, and organizing my daughter's birthday party. Luckily, all but school and life is done with. I was painting my nails with Purple Panic and she wanted to jump in on the fun!

She picked out 3 of my frankens, and yes she wanted them all on her nails!! She chose Purple Panic, Greenade Whistle, and A Star Is Born.

Her nails are very small and I only did one coat for each nail so she didn't really get a whole lot of glitter. Plus she likes to pick it off as you can see already.

Essie Splash of Grenadine with Nubar 2010

So today I have for you a LOVELY pink mauve color for you!!!!! I saw it once and immediately fell in love. Essie Splash of Grenadine. I couldn't leave it alone though so I had to top it off with Nubar 2010 a gorgeous flakie!

The application was phenomenal and complete in two coats of Essie, one coat of Nubar, and one top coat of Seche. The wear in the photos is day number two so excuse the tip wear.

Black Knight Franken

Here is a franken I created called Black Knight. I loved that movie and when I was creating this I was watching it, so it just stuck!

I created this using 1/2 OPI Black Onyx and 1/2 of any OPI DS.
